the team behind eyes2port

For 30 years, Eyes2Port has proudly served the Port Melbourne community and surrounding areas. In December 2025, Vito Anzelmi and Toby Hunt purchased the business from Goldie and Louis Theodosiou, who continue to work at Eyes2port and serve the community on a part-time basis.

meet Dr. Vito Anzelmi

Optometrist

– Bachelor of Optometry, University of Melbourne
– Postgraduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics, University of Melbourne
– Advanced Certificate in Children’s Vision, Australian College of Optometry

I have practised Optometry for more than 25 years, diagnosing and solving everyday vision and eye health issues, with a strong commitment to patient care. I approach every interaction with professionalism and a genuine focus on achieving positive outcomes. I have worked in variety of clinical environments in metropolitan and regional settings, both in Australia and the United Kingdom.

Alongside owning and operating my own practice, I am a Clinical Teaching Instructor at The Australian College of Optometry, where I share my knowledge and support the development of the next generation of Optometrists.

My professional interests include Children’s Vision, and the management of chronic ocular disease. I am a participating Optometrist in the Glaucoma Community Collaborative Care Program managed by the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital, co-managing glaucoma patients in the community. I am also fluent in Italian.

I am passionate about travelling and spending time with friends and family, especially when enjoying a lovely meal together. To unwind, I enjoy a mix of shopping, reading books or the newspaper, and keeping up with current affairs. I’m also a big AFL fan (Collingwood supporter), and don’t mind switching off with a bit of reality TV.

meet Toby Hunt

Optical dispenser

With over 20 years of experience in the optic industry across both independent and corporate sectors, I bring extensive expertise in practice management, retail operations and business development. I am passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while supporting the ongoing growth and success of the practice, as well as supporting the local community.

Throughout my career, I have led many optical teams, consistently creating a positive and customer-focused environment. I take pride in building meaningful relationships with patients, suppliers, and industry partners, ensuring the highest level of service and care.

I also have a strong passion for eyewear fashion, helping our customers find designer frames that not only suit their vision needs but reflect their personal style.

Outside of work, I’m a big Richmond Tigers supporter (I’ll happily talk footy with you!), a keen basketball player and fan, and I enjoy getting away for winery weekends with my wife whenever I can.

We are thrilled that Goldie continues to practise at Eyes2Port. With 30 years at the practice, she brings an extraordinary wealth of experience, knowledge, and continuity of care. Much loved by her patients and a familiar face in the local community, Goldie is known for her warmth, compassion, and ability to solve even the most complex visual challenges, alongside her extensive knowledge of optics and eye health management.
