Eye Examination
During the eye examination, we tailor your prescription to suit both your work and everyday visual needs, including distance, near, and binocular vision.
We place strong emphasis on detecting age-related conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. Using advanced technology including OCT (ocular coherence tomography), along with detailed external and internal eye assessments and intraocular pressure measurement, we can diagnose and monitor eye health with greater accuracy.
In addition to routine care, our optometrists provide emergency eye services and manage chronic conditions such as glaucoma, dry eye, and diabetic retinopathy, often in conjunction local ophthalmologists.
CONTACT LENSES
At Eyes2Port, our Optometrists are highly experienced in many aspects of contact lens fitting, supported by a large and diverse existing contact lens patient base.
This allows us to confidently manage a wide range of lens types and modalities to suit individual needs.
We have a particular interest in myopia control for children, as well as fitting lenses for presbyopia, an age related change where the eyes gradually lose the ability to focus on near objects.
SPECTACLE LENSES
As a wholly independent practice, we are able to source spectacle lenses from a wide range of leading manufacturers, allowing us to tailor each solution to individual requirements. Without being tied to any single supplier, we select only the most appropriate lenses to deliver optimal clarity, comfort, and performance.
We offer fully customised lens tinting tailored to both style and function—whether you’re after a subtle fashion tint, prescription sunglasses, or specialised tints for conditions such as migraines. We enjoy the challenge of recreating complex and highly specific tints within your prescription, including graduated designs and unique blends of multiple colours.
We also offer treatments such as blue light filters which reduce exposure to high-energy blue wavelengths from screens, and may help to minimise eye strain and improve visual comfort.
CHILDREN’S VISION
Eyes2Port has a well-established paediatric patient base, with many local families trusting us for their children’s ongoing eye care.
Regular eye examinations are essential in childhood to detect issues such as lazy eye (amblyopia) and other vision problems early, as these can impact learning, reading, and overall development if left unaddressed.
Our optometrist Vito has a particular interest in Children’s Vision and has undertaken further postgraduate study in this field, providing attentive, tailored care to support your child’s visual needs.
Onsite Lab
Eyes2Port offers an in-house lab, which allows us to fit many spectacle prescriptions both quickly and accurately. This can be sometimes done “while you wait”, handy for those who wish to have lenses fitted to their own frame, particularly in an emergency (conditions may apply).
FRAME REPAIRS AND ADJUSTMENTS
Our experienced team is highly skilled in frame repairs and adjustments, helping to restore your glasses after everyday wear and tear or unexpected accidents. From simple fixes like nose pads and screw replacements to general tune-ups that improve comfort and fit, we’re always happy to help keep your eyewear in top condition.
